Many times the bike is a person's only form of transportation. In 2010, Mike Martin and Jeff Schuler created the non-profit community organization Bicycle Resource of Bend to be a hub for donating, rebuilding, refurnishing, and donating back again to our communities in need, which our dedicated staff and volunteers happily do. Because the environment is important too, we take the remaining unusable parts and either recycle or donate them. We accept bicycle and monetary donations from anyone who can help. Once bikes are rebuilt (with any parts that may be needed) and checked for safety, we fulfill requests from community outreach organizations (including churches, schools, charities and government agencies). If you’d like to pop in to the shop we are open from 9am-Noon on Sundays!
